1) Event
A person is detected activating an intruder or security alarm on your premises.
2) Alarm is sent
Live videos from your CCTV are transmitted to the Alarm Receiving Centre. The data is sent over secure servers to ensure your data is safe.
3) Verification of alarm
Once the CCTV footage is received, our SIA qualified operators will verify whether the alarm is genuine or false and the level of response it needs.
4) Verbal warning sent
Your alarm and CCTV is monitored by an SIA qualified operator. When an alarm is activated, a verbal challenge will be given to the perpetrator. Usually this is enough to prevent a breach of security. If it isn’t, and the incident continues, we move to the next step.
5) Response
The response will depend on the severity of the incident, and the escalation process you have requested.
Emergency response
Your emergency response contact will be notified immediately and advised of the situation. If the system is BS8418 compliant, we will contact the police for a guaranteed response. A keyholder will always be called straight afterwards. This enables someone to attend and give access to the Police, and also allows them to re-secure the property.
Non-emergency response
If the incident is not an emergency, we will call a keyholder. This might be a member of your staff or an outsourced keyholder.
6) Report
In all cases, you will receive a report to tell you what has happened, and the action taken.
