For over 25 years, FCM has been the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) of choice for many residential, commercial and public body clients.

Today, FCM is one of the leading NSI Gold Accredited Monitoring Specialists in the UK and Ireland. We offer a range of bespoke solutions including, but not limited to: social care, intruder alarm, fire, personal attack and lone worker monitoring, as well as embracing the latest technologies in false alarm filtering and thermal imaging within CCTV monitoring.

Our team of SIA qualified operators provide first class monitoring with excellent customer service 24hrs a day 365 days a year, enabling FCM to stand out from the crowd from its competitors. Our mission is to ensure that we provide first class service where ‘you’re more than just a number’.

1994

First County Monitoring (FCM) is founded

1999

FCM moves into its own purpose built Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC)

2002

Due to ongoing success, FCM undergoes a major ARC expansion

2007

FCM gain BS8418 Accreditation for CCTV monitoring

2009

FCM becomes one of the first ARC's in the UK to obtain Lone Worker Standard BS8484

2015

Major system upgrades are completed to embrace the latest technologies

2021

FCM undergoes a major re-brand and HQ regeneration

Neil Addinall

Managing Director

Neil joined FCM in February 2007. Prior to this he owned his own electrical company for 10 years and is a qualified electrical engineer. Neil is forward thinking and progressive, with an ethical approach to business. Driving sales and growth he brings into the company honesty, enthusiasm and energy which are essential in a competitive marketplace.

Simon Mackenzie

Technical Communications Director

With over 30 years of experience in the security, fire, CCTV and lone worker monitoring industries, Simon brings a wealth of technical knowledge and managerial experience to the team. Simon continuously embraces new technological advancements to ensure the services provided by FCM are at the forefront of the industry.

Mark Hayes

Operations Manager

Mark is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) including sales and operational issues. With key skills in staff training, account management and quality assurance, Mark is the driving force behind the quality service that we provide to our clients.

Brian Kendall

IT Manager

With over 10 years’ experience managing all aspects of IT from infrastructure to end user support, Brian brings a wealth of knowledge to FCM specialising in governance, cyber security and GDPR compliance.

David Drury

Technical Systems Co-Ordinator

Having worked in the security industry for over 10 years, Dave provides the day-to-day support to all of our customers delivering technical expertise and commissioning of new accounts. Dave’s wealth of knowledge ensures he is ideally placed to deal with both technical and sales queries, liaising with clients to resolve any issues and ensure FCM client retention targets are met.

Bryony Alderton

Admin Team Leader

Bryony is responsible for the day-to-day running of our Admin department, who closely liaise with all of our customers. Bryony and her team Kaylee, Jo and Simon deal with customer enquiries, setting up and commissioning of new accounts, provide support and process account updates as needed. All are focused on delivering excellent customer service and always go the extra mile to ensure we do everything we can to meet the needs of every customer.
